[lyte id="JdtmTnKJ_44" audio="true" /]Joy to the world, the Lord is come! Let earth receive her King; Let every heart prepare Him room, And heaven and nature sing, And heaven and nature sing, And heaven, and heaven, and nature sing
Joy to the world, the Savior reigns! Let saints their songs employ; While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat, repeat, the sounding joy.
He rules the world with truth and grace, And makes the nations prove The glories of His righteousness, And wonders of His love, And wonders of His love, And wonders, wonders, of His love.
And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.
Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy.
When we hear that a friend is getting engaged or that a relative has had a baby what is our response? Joy! Why is it that when we think about the ‘good news’ the angels brought we no longer feel that same joy? Is it because it is no longer incredible? No, it is because it is no longer news. We have got used to it. Familiar with the joy it once brought. How do we experience that joy again? One way is to tell someone for whom it is news - someone who needs to hear that God is with us and He is for us! Then we get to share their joy and experience it all over again.
JESUS let me be a person who shares in Your joy! Sharing good news to any who need it!
