Lent: Day 6
My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus' blood and righteousness I dare not trust the sweetest frame But wholly trust in Jesus' name
Christ alone, Cornerstone Weak made strong, in the Savior's love Through the storm He is Lord, Lord of All
When darkness seems to hide His face I rest on His unchanging grace In every high and stormy gale My anchor holds within the veil My anchor holds within the veil
Then He shall come with trumpets sound Oh, may I then in Him be found Dressed in His righteousness alone Faultless, stand before the throne
Hebrews 6:19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil, where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us, having become a high priest forever
Isaiah 28:16 Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: "Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem, a firm and tested stone. It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on. Whoever believes need never be shaken.
Hope. Everyone needs it. Without it we are lost and astray, liable to drift into apathy and even defeat. Jesus is our hope, our anchor for the soul. He is the cornerstone, upholding all things. Our thoughts of futility and pessimism crumble in His presence. Jesus is the eternal hope and if we trust in Him we will not be shaken.
JESUS you are our hope forever, faithful and true. Help me build my entire life on You!
