Lent: Day 7
Waiting Here For You
If faith can move the mountains Let the mountains move We come with expectation Waiting here for You, waiting here for You
You're the Lord of all creation And still You know my heart The Author of Salvation You've loved us from the start
Waiting here for You With our hands lifted high in praise And it's You we adore Singing Alleluia
You are everything You've promised Your faithfulness is true And we're desperate for Your presence All we need is You
Singing Alleluia Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia
Psalm 59:9-10 O my Strength, I will watch for you, for you, O God, are my fortress. My God in his steadfast love will meet me
Human beings are impatient by nature. We hate waiting and will do whatever we can to eliminate it from our lives. But patience is more than a virtue, it is fruit of the Spirit. Through the process of waiting for God to move and speak He reminds us we are not in control. We cannot get what we want, when we want it. We are dependent on God. Always dependent on God. So we must wait; for Him to do what He wants, when He wants to do it. There is no better way.
HOLY SPIRIT we are waiting for You to move, expectant and hungry. Let us wait with our hands lifted high and singing of Your glory!
