Dear River City Church,

I’m writing to inform you that I have turned in my resignation as Youth Director at River City Church. My last day will be February 12th, 2017. I am leaving this position as Elizabeth and I feel the Lord calling and leading us into a new season. We are obeying His leading, what He is speaking to us and are choosing to be obedient to His direction for our family.

To the parents I want to sincerely thank you for trusting me with your sons and daughters over the last 4 ½ years. I am thankful for the time I had to speak into their lives, to teach them and watch them grow in their relationships with the Lord. I am grateful for the time I got to spend with your children and I pray it has an eternal impact. I loved being able to pray with and for them, to watch God move in their lives, and see them experience the Lord in supernatural ways. There are so many memories I will never forget. This is a group of worshipers that I know will change the world. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to lead your students to Jesus.

To RCC I want to thank you for welcoming Elizabeth and I into the family. We have loved our time with you since we arrived and will miss you all so much. You lead with such grace, mercy and love and we will never forget that. Thank you for always praying for us in times that were tough and in the times that were good. You will always be a part of our story and family and we will take what you have given to us everywhere we go.

I would ask for your prayers for Elizabeth, John and me as we follow the Lord into this next season and that He makes His path and direction clear for us. We have loved our time at RCC and are looking forward to the next adventure God has for us.

Sean Kelly

Director of Middle & High School

Over the past four years it has been a blessing to have Sean and Liz Kelly a part of RCC. They both are so gifted and have poured their life into our youth. It has been an honor to lead Sean and walk with him as he has grown in his ministry. Equally impressive has been watching him love his family and become a father.

The youth of our church are some of the most passionate worshippers at RCC. I have loved getting videos from Sean of them dancing, singing out in the Spirit and worshipping Jesus with all of their heart. In the past four years Sean has lead our youth into a deeper understanding and experience of of the Holy Spirit, that has led to them praying for each other, prophesying over each other and experiencing incredible demonstrations of God’s power. As a parent of 3 children that have gone through his ministry I can say I am very thankful for the way he has led, encouraged and loved my children.

RCC’s leadership is very committed to the youth of RCC and will continue to build on the foundation that Sean has established. We have already started to pray and search for a Youth Pastor that embodies our values, and is passionate about youth ministry. As you know it has been difficult in the past to fill this position. Please pray with us as we ask God to lead us to the right person.

Sean will be missed, but we are very excited for him and Liz as they step out in faith to pursue what God has next for them. Please keep his family in your prayers as they head into this new season of life.

Antley Fowler

Lead Pastor

It has been a privilege having Sean on the team here at RCC.  Sean is a passionate and catalytic leader whom God has used in significant and powerful ways!  Both he, Liz, and their little guy, John, will be deeply missed.  When God speaks we need to respond in faith, and this is exactly what Sean and Liz are doing — they are responding to the call of God on their lives.  I am excited for them as move into what I believe will be an ever-growing kingdom ministry that will bless and impact many.

Allan Love

Executive Pastor

I have known Sean Kelly for just over 4 years and been working with him for the past 18 months. He is a man who desires to follow God, and all that He has for him in ministry. It is with a sad heart that we see him leave RCC Staff, but also with a confidence that he is following the Father's leading. Sean is a gifted, diligent, humble and charismatic leader. He will be missed here by our youth and our staff. I wish Sean and his family all the best in wherever God directs them!
