Lent: Day 28

This is Our God

Your grace is enough More than I need And your word I will believe I wait for you Draw near again And your spirit make me new

And I will fall at your feet I will fall at your feet And I will worship you here

Your presence in me Jesus light the way By the power of your word I am restored I am redeemed By your spirit I am free

Freely you gave it all for us Surrendered your life upon that cross Great is your love Poured out for all This is our God Lifted on high from death to life Forever our God is glorified Sovereign king Rescued the world This is our God

Titus 3:5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 1:6 So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.

When we think about how God is restoring us, it is easy to think that transformation means we lose who we are for something ‘better’. But what is more accurate is that He is renewing our true self. We do not lose who we are to something greater but we are restored to His original intention. Our personality and character doesn’t get lost - it comes out!  Free of the distortion and dulling of the world, our true colors shine through.

HOLY SPIRIT continue Your work of renewal and transformation in me. Do whatever You need to do to complete Your work in me!
