Lent: Day 8
This is Amazing Grace
Who breaks the power of sin and darkness Whose love is mighty and so much stronger The King of glory, the King above all Kings
Who shakes the whole earth with holy thunder Leaves us breathless in awe and wonder The King of glory, the King above all Kings
This is amazing grace This is unfailing love That You would take my place That You would bear my cross You laid down Your life That I would be set free Jesus I sing for all that You've done for me
Who brings our chaos back into order Who makes the orphan a son and daughter The King of glory, the King of glory
Who rules the nations with truth and justice Shines like the sun in all of its brilliance The king of glory, the King above all Kings
Worthy is the lamb who was slain Worthy is the King who conquered the grave
Haggai 2:6-7 ‘This is what the Lord Almighty says. “In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake the nations and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory” says the Lord Almighty.
Sometimes things get shaken. Stirred up by God in ways that are often dramatic and unexpected. We can be so disorientated that we are left wondering ‘why?’. We may never understand the details and nuances of ‘why?’ but that does not mean we have no certainties. When God is shaking the earth it is because He is aligning all things to His one great purpose: His glory.
HOLY GOD shake the heavens and earth! Cause me to be breathless in my wonder of Your glory!
